2020 Chevrolet Corvette
December 30 2019, Grenier Chevrolet Buick GMC
Introduced as a world premiere last summer, the new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette was unquestionably the most anticipated unveiling of the past year, and probably of the last decade. An eighth generation of the legendary Corvette family, this new version is the first to receive a mid-engine setup where the powertrain is housed behind the driver. With its central-positioned engine and all-new breathtaking style, the new Corvette now has all of the makings of an exotic vehicle.
The only thing that is not exotic, however, is the price. The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette will be just as affordable as the seven generations before it. It will, however, be much more powerful, sportier and even more noticeable on the road.
The mid-mounted engine will be a 6.2-litre V8 producing 495 horsepower in the Corvette Stingray. Eventually, more powerful versions will be available, but the entry-level V8 will have more than enough power for most owners. Reaching 100 km/h will only take 3.0 seconds which is simply breathtaking. It's even more interesting when you know that the new Corvette will be offered at about the same price as the previous model.
The acceleration will be phenomenal, obviously, but torque as well along with the new Corvette’s agility and overall balance. A mid-engine vehicle is better balanced and a lot more controllable than a performance vehicle with a front-mounted engine. This will definitely be the most fun to drive and sportiest Corvette ever.
The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette will also be available in a convertible version. Like the coupe this model will be extremely powerful and versatile despite the presence of a retractable hardtop. Chevy says there will be enough space inside both Corvette versions to carry up to two golf bags. The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette will be available later next year, but you can come in today to learn more!
